Sport Psychologist

Allison Dyer, an English sports psychologist based in Spain, wanted to advertise her services to increase her clientel base. After looking at all the options including using advertising brouchures, newspapers and posters, she decided a combination of all forms of advertising would give her maximum advertisement potential. Rather than use a brochure she decided to use a website as a central scource of information for potential clients.
Allison wanted a site that supplied the information without a cluttered feel. Working with Allison SWHUK created a site using CSS and XHTML to create a neat organised layout. The use of CSS allows the site to load quickly saving potential clients from leaving before the pages load. Allison wanted a reflective feel to the site and the use of cool blues allows a controlled but calm feel to her site.
Allison wanted to her site to conform with as many of the accessibility recommendations as possible but still remain within her budget. The Total Sport Psychology website passes the automated test for the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), as laid out by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). Level AA was the required standard requested but level AAA is passed by the automated checks (although there are a few additions required to fully comply to level AAA but the target requested by Allison has been surpassed).
