Web Design Process
1. First Contact
Contact us by e-mail, or telephone to speak to one of our representatives.
Alternatively you can complete our convenient quote request form (please use our Contact Us form until the new quotation form is completed).
2. Website Requirements & Targets Evaluation
Following initial conversations (be it via phone or email), a more in-depth dialogue will be required in order for us to effectively assess your requirements and targets. The dialogue can be via email, telephone or a representitive will call to see you at your convenience.
This is where you can describe how you would like your website to look and what you would like your website to do for you. During this stage, we will be able to make suggestions which you may not have thought available.
3. Written Quotation
Ross David Web Design can then prepare a written in-depth quotation which will contain all features and services previously discussed during stage (2) as well as a breakdown of all costs and services.
4. Approval of Quote
Once any required adjustments are made to the quote, you the client will then give approval to proceed with the project. The quote will then be converted into a contract, including time guides, to be signed by both parties.
5. Branding and Content Data
The client will then provide any information (including colour schemes, logo, corporate branding, copy etc.) which will be required to be incorporated within the site design and content.
6. Design Concepts & Approval
Based on the information provided in stage (5), including any colour, logo and font supplied, we will then present you with a variety of design concepts from which to choose. Your chosen design can then be further amended until final approval and an approval form is completed.
7. Site Structure & CMS
Using our Bespoke CMS we we can quickly transform the design into a highly versatile updatable website. All design choices covered in stage (2) will be included within the CMS.
8. Website Population
This is where the quickest growth spurt occurs during the project life cycle. Any and all information provided by the client will now be inputted via the CMS into the site. You will now see your website really start to grow and take shape as more pages are added easily and quickly. Images are also easily added as the CMS takes care of resizing and thumbnail generation.
9. Website Testing
Because the CMS has previously undertaken extensive testing most problems are quickly spotted and rectified (if any problems). However we will subject your website to a series of test procedures that are designed to ensure that your website can work no matter what the circumstance. And this is your chance to see your site before it is unveiled, so that you can make any necessary changes to copy etc. Your website will also be tested to be CSS and XHTML W3C compliant. Your site will also be compliant upto AAA automated test standards.
10. Website Launch
Once you are happy with your new website a final launch approval form is completed and your website will be revealed live to the public.
11. Search Engine Promotion (SEO)
A thorough check will be performed to ensure that all pages on your website contain the necessary keywords and description in the Meta-tags. There is also a default value inserted during stage (7) from information received in stage (2). We will then submit your site to the major search engines, including Google Sitemap and monitor results via Google Analytics, Google Sitemaps and Awstats.
12. Website Maintenance
Your site will then move into Website Maintenance Phase and can be managed, using the CMS, either by you, the client, or by Ross David Web Design.
